Wahoo has a mild taste with a delicate texture. It has a white to pinkish-white color. Avoid fillets and portions that have a brown or gray color. Channel Seafoods International offers frozen skinless/boneless portions and frozen boneless and skin on fillets in excellent condition. The seasonality is year-round. It is wild caught, using the long line method. There are a variety of cooking methods for tilapia: baking, grilling, or poaching.
Serving Suggestions:
Wahoo can be served with achiote, sliced limes, peppers, and tomatoes.
Defrosting:
Defrost before cooking. To defrost product, keep in refrigerator overnight, or place under cold running water.
Safe Handling:
Keep product frozen until ready to use. Do not refreeze product.
