Octopus has a mild and sweet taste with a firm texture. It has a purple-ish black skin with white meat color. Channel Seafoods International offers frozen, skin on octopus in excellent condition. Our octopus products are cleaned with eyes and beak off and ink out. The balls are packed and wrapped in poly in bulks. The seasonality varies around August through December. It is wild caught, using hand lines method. There are a variety of cooking methods for octopus: boiling, frying, grilling, or simmering.
Serving Suggestions:
Octopus can be served with a salad or rice with a touch of squeezed lemon juice on the side.
Defrosting:
Defrost before cooking. To defrost product, keep in refrigerator overnight, or place under cold running water.
Safe Handling:
Keep product frozen until ready to use. Do not refreeze product.
