New Zealand Greenshell Mussels has a sweet taste with a delicate and tender texture. It has an apricot to cream color. Channel Seafoods International offers frozen, shell on mussels in excellent condition. Our greenshell mussel products are individually quick frozen (IQF). The seasonality is year-round. It is farm-raised, using the rope grown method. There are a variety of cooking methods for mussels: baking, boiling, broiling, frying, or steaming.
New Zealand Greenshell Mussels can be garnished with Italian parsley with a touch of squeezed lemon juice.
Defrost before cooking. To defrost product, keep in refrigerator overnight, or place under cold running water.
Keep product frozen until ready to use. Do not refreeze product.
