Milkfish has a medium and mild taste with a firm texture. It has a white color. Channel Seafoods International offers frozen, bones in, skin on, and tail on whole fish in excellent condition. Our milkfish products are individually quick frozen (IQF). The seasonality varies around July through November. It is farm-raised, using the tanks method. There are a variety of cooking methods for milkfish: broiling, frying, grilling, simmering, or sautéing.
Milkfish can be served with rice, steamed vegetables, beans, and a tossed salad.
Defrost before cooking. To defrost product, keep in refrigerator overnight, or place under cold running water.
Keep product frozen until ready to use. Do not refreeze product.
